How to help your clients become millionaires through real estate

😴 Too many agents are sleeping on the investment market...

Investors and investment properties usually get mixed reviews.

A lot of agents don't want to deal with them because they tend to be a ton of work with a small payoff (if you ever get to closing).

On top of that, the deals usually have some hair on them compared to your normal primary residence sale.

As for our prospective clients... they're hesitant to buy their first rental because they've heard horror stories about nightmare tenants and late night maintenance calls. 

But here's the truth:

Understanding and guiding people to buy (the right) investment properties should be one of the industry's top priorities.

This is because owning rental properties is the #2 way to realistically become a millionaire (right behind invest in your 401k) according to Forbes.

Done right, rental properties can change lives for the better.

Katie (my wife) and I have 6 rentals and it's freed me up to step away from lending and launch The Market Distillery!

It's not Blackrock, it's mom & pop investors driving the rental market. 🏘️

Of course, when most people think about investors, they picture the huge hedge funds or even the local negotiator who never stops running numbers and playing hardball on every detail.

But, everything changes if you redefine who investors really are and see the bigger picture.

In this case, Realtors should realize that their database of existing clients are the ones we're considering as investors.

This is because mom & pop investors (people who own 1-5 properties) are driving 90% of the rental market.

If you want to be valued, you have to be valuable to your clients. 😳

Real estate agents don't get a lot of respect.

I hate to say it, but a lot of them haven't earned it...

If you act like an order-taker and don't provide real value, your commissions are always going to feel too high.

And I don't mean pulling weeds and hosting the 4th open house this month. 

I'm talking about bringing real opportunities to your clients before they even ask.

Think about these questions:

  • 🤯 Are you proactively presenting opportunities to your clients they didn't even know existed?
  • 🗓️ Do you know what their longer-term goals are and regularly connect to stay up-to-date?
  • 🙋‍♀️ When they ask for advice, do you have something meaningful to add?
  • 👨‍💼 Do you see yourself an expert that deserves a seat at their table of advisors?

Most people don't have a financial advisor or CPA. 

They don't have access to the same advisors that guide the rich.

Real estate agents have the greatest chances of being one of the few licensed experts most people hire for help.

If you're not passionate about helping your clients seriously grow their wealth and you're more focused on this commission check, you're in the wrong industry.

Stop settling for the next transaction and start helping your clients build fortunes!
